Marine Gear Joins Tassie Owned Seamaster Franchise

 In BUSINESS GROWTH

Seamaster, along with Jarryd Cohen and Ian Heathorn are pleased to announce that Seamaster has acquired the business and assets of Marine Gear. The combination of Seamaster and Marine Gear will provide commercial fishing and aquaculture operators access to the most experienced team servicing the industry from three Tasmanian locations.

Seamaster, a division of PFG Group, operates chandleries in Devonport and Goodwood Tasmania, and Port Lincoln South Australia, supplying premium fishing products to commercial and aquaculture businesses, and recreational fishermen.

The combination of Marine Gear and Seamaster is compelling as it provides increased scale and purchasing power across a broader range of products. Customers will benefit from the reach and experience of the Seamaster and PFG teams. For Seamaster, the opportunity to operate from Margate will enhance our ability to service our aquaculture and commercial fishing customers in the Channel and further south.

Marine Gear customers will continue to receive the high quality service and products to which they are accustomed. Jarryd will continue to operate the shop in Margate at 18 Waterworth Drive.

As part of the Seamaster family, Marine Gear will have access to a broader product range and capability, an increased distribution footprint and a management team committed to providing the highest quality range of durable products for which both Seamaster and Marine Gear are renowned.
